5Exit the V-Chip setting mode
Press the MENU button on the remote control to
enter the setting and exit the screen.
V-CHIPSET UP SUB RATINGS
When you select the ratings of TV-Y7,TV-PG,TV-14
or TV-MAyou will have the option of selecting sub
rating categories.
1Select “V-CHIPSET UP”
Press the MENU button on the
remote control.
Press the PLAY/Kor STOP/Lbut-
ton to select “V-CHIPSET UP”.
Then, press the F.FWD/Bbutton.
2Enter Access code
Use the number buttons on the remote
control to enter the access code
.
Note: Default code is 0000.
3Select “TV RATING”
Press the PLAY/Kor STOP/Lbut-
ton to select “TV RATING”.
Then, press the F.FWD/Bbutton.
4Selecting Sub-Ratings”
Press the STOP/Lbutton to select the sub-rating you
wish to block. Then, press the F.FWD/Bbutton.
•When you select [TV-Y7]:
Press the STOP/Lor PLAY/K
button to select “FV” (Fantasy
Violence).
Then, press the F.FWD/Bbutton
to select [BLOCK] or [VIEW].
•When you select [TV-PG], [TV-14] or[TV-MA]:
Press the STOP/Lor PLAY/K
button to select “D”(Suggestive
Dialog), “L”(Coarse Language),
“S”(Sexual Situation), or
“V”(Violence). Then, press the
F.FWD/Bbutton to select [BLOCK] or [VIEW].
Note: When you select [TV-MA], “D” does not
appear on the TVscreen.
•The sub-ratings which set to
[BLOCK] appears next to the rat-
ing category in the TVrating
menu.

enter the setting and exit the screen.
CHANGING V-CHIPBLOCKED PRO-
GRAMMING
Note: To change the rating, the TV/VCR must be
turned to a station that is not protected. If the (PRO-
TECTED) appears on the screen, please change the
channel to a station that is not protected.
1)Follow steps [1] and [2].
2)Press the F.FWD/Bbutton to select "TVRAT-
ING". Select a TVrating to be unblocked by press-
ing the PLAY/Kor STOP/Lbutton.
Then press the F.FWD/Bbutton to unblock the
rating.
3)Press the MENU button on the remote control to
exit the screen.
MPAARATING SET UP
1Select “V-CHIP SET UP”
Press the MENU button on the
remote control.
Press the PLAY/Kor STOP/Lbut-
ton to select “V-CHIPSET UP”.
Then, press the F.FWD/Bbutton.
2Enter Access code
Use the numbers on the remote
control to enter the access code.
3Select “MPAA RATING”
Press the PLAY/Kor STOP/Lbut-
ton to point to “MPAARATING”.
Then, press the F.FWD/Bbutton.
4Select your desired item
Press the PLAY/Kor STOP/Lbut-
ton to point to your desired item.
Then, press the F.FWD/Bbutton to
select [BLOCK] or [VIEW].
•When you select the rating category and turn it
[BLOCK], the higher rating will turn [BLOCK]
automatically. Also, the lower rating will turn
[VIEW] automatically.
•When you turn “G” to [VIEW], then all ratings
will turn to [VIEW] automatically.
