Materials to be avoided in microwave oven

Utensils Remarks

Aluminum tray	May cause arcing. Transfer food into microwave-safe dish.
Food carton with	May cause arcing. Transfer food into microwave-safe dish.

Metal or metal-	Metal shields the food from microwave energy. Metal trim may
