Theinstructions on how to use Altair are as follows:

1.

Select ﬁles to transfer. The left panel shows ﬁles and

folders that are on the digital receiver,while the right

panelshows ﬁles and folders that are on your computer.

2.

Totransfer ﬁles from the digital receiver to your com-

puter,press the right arrow button (→).

3.

Totransfer ﬁles from your computer to the digital re-

ceiver,press the left arrow button (←).

Atthe top of the panel, you will see a message that says Turbo

Off. Turbomode is a way of speeding up the transfer of ﬁles to

andfrom the digital receiver. You can click the circle to the left

ofthe message to turn turbo mode on or off.

Turbomode makes transferring ﬁles faster, but the digital re-

ceiverstops responding to commands from the remote control.

Ifyou want to use the digital receiver while transferring, or if

anyscheduled recordings are due to start, you should not use

turbomode.

NOTE

Youcannot play back the recordings with a regular MPEG

player on your computer because they are formatted differ-

entlyfrom the standard MPEG format.
