Introduction
The TF500 PVRc digital receiver is fully compliant with the
internationalDigital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard, and
thusis able to receive digital broadcasts of that standard.
NOTE
Ingeneral we equate a channel with a frequency. Unlike ana-
logue broadcasts, however,digital broadcasts are not all as-
signed to their own frequencies; instead, multiple television
broadcastsare transmitted through a single frequency. The fre-
quencyin digital broadcasting is usually called transponder. To
reduceconfusion in this manual, the word service ispreferably
usedthan channel asa term to indicate one television or radio
broadcast.
