INSTALLING THE BACKUP SOFTWARE

Windows

1.Make sure the Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive is￿ connected to the computer using the included USB cable.

2.On the desktop, double-click My Computer.

3.Double-click the icon for the Toshiba Portable External ￿ Hard Drive.

4.Double-click the file ￿Shadow for PC￿.

5.Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Macintosh

1.Make sure the Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive is￿ connected to the computer using the included USB cable.

2.On the desktop, double-click the icon for the Toshiba ￿ Portable External Hard Drive.

3.Double-click on ￿Shadow for Mac.dmg￿.

4.Review and agree to the license agreement.

5.Drag backup application icon to your Applications folder.

6.Open your Application folder and double-click the NTI ￿ Shadow icon to setup your first backup.
