1.Connect the USB cable to the Toshiba Hard Drive.

2.Connect the USB cable to the computer.

1.Double-click the ’Safely Remove Hardware’ icon in your system tray.

2.Select the ’USB Mass Storage Device’ from the window and click on ’Stop’.

3.Then click on ’OK’ to confirm and wait for the confirmation dialog.

4.Disconnect the cable(s) from the Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive.

1.Locate the Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive icon on the desktop.

2.Drag the icon to the Trash icon in the dock.

3.When the icon disappears from the desktop, disconnect the cable(s) from the Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive.
