Appendix AHot Keys/TOSHIBA Cards

Hot keys and TOSHIBA Cards provide a quick way to modify selected system functions and to launch applications.

There are two types of TOSHIBA Cards: Hot Key Cards and Application Cards.

Hot Key Cards

The Hot Key Cards are used to modify the following system functions:

hardware conflict Resolving conflicts There are several things you can do to resolve hardware conflicts: ❖Get the most recent drivers from the manufacturer ❖Disable the device For an older device, remove it from the computer Resources Memory problems Power and the batteries The battery appears not to power the computer for as long as it usually does Keyboard problems The keyboard produces unexpected characters Nothing happens when you press the keys on the external keyboard Restart Display problems Here are some typical display problems and their solutions: The screen is blank If you
