44 Using the Remote Control

Learning about the remote control

1The POWER button turns the TV On/Off. When the TV is on,
the power LED indicator on the TV front glows green.
2The PIC SIZE button cycles through the picture sizes, see
“Selecting the picture size” on page 71.
3The PIC MODE button selects the picture mode, see
“Selecting the picture mode” on page 79.
4The INPUT button selects the video input source, see
“Selecting the video input source” on page 60.
5The SLEEP button accesses the sleep timer, see “Setting the
sleep timer” on page 109.
6The FREEZE button freezes the picture. Press again to restore
the moving picture, see “Using the FREEZE feature” on
page 78.
7The Channel Number buttons (0-9, and Dash 100) directly
tune channels. The (Dash 100) button allows you to enter two
part channel numbers, see “Storing channels in memory
(optional)” on page 52 or to edit the Favorites List, see
“Favorites browser” on page66.
8The FAV button accesses the Favorites List in the Channel
Browser, see “Favorites browser” on page66.
9The RECALL button displays TV status information.
10 The CH (/ arrow) buttons cycle through programmed
channels (when no on-screen menu is present), see “Tuning
channels using the Channel Browser” on page 65.
11 The C. CAPTION button accesses closed captions, see “Using
closed captions” on page 81.
12 The MUTE button reduces or turns off the sound, see “Muting
the sound” on page 84.
13 The VOL (+ – ) buttons adjust the volume level.
14 The INFO button displays TV status information as well as
program details, when available, see “Displaying TV status

15 The EXIT button closes on-screen menus.
16 The ENTER button activates highlighted items in the main
menu system.
17 The CH RTN button returns to the last viewed channel or
