•Auger Shaft: At least once a season, remove the shear pins from the auger shaft and spray lubricant inside the shaft. See Figure 12. Grease fittings can be found at either end of the auger shaft. Lubricate with a grease gun once a season.
•Wheels: Once a season, remove the bolt from each wheel and take the wheel off the axle. Apply a multipurpose automotive grease on the axle shaft before putting back the wheels.
•Shift Rod: Use a grease or light oil to lubricate the rotating parts of the shift rod after 25 hours of operation.
•Pivot Points: All pivoting points on the snow thrower should be lubricated with a light oil once a season.
•Drive/Auger Control Lock: The cam on the ends of the control rods which interlock the drive and auger controls must be lubricated at least once a season or every 25 hours of operation using a

Check V-Belts
Follow instructions below to check the condition of the drive belts every 50 hours of operation.

Check Friction Wheel
Follow instructions below to check the condition of the friction wheel rubber every 50 hours of operation.

3.Also engage the drive control and check if the friction wheel is making contact with drive plate. If it does not make contact, adjust the drive cable (refer to page17) and recheck the friction wheel.

Check Chute Cables
Once a season or every 25 hours of operation, whichever is earlier, check whether the chute cables have slackened. Adjust if necessary, following instructions on page 18.
Checking Oil Level
Before operating snow thrower, check the oil level by following steps below.
NOTE: Although
1.With engine on level ground, oil must be to FULL mark on dipstick. See Figure 11 .
2.Stop engine and wait several minutes before checking oil level. Remove oil fill cap and dipstick.
3.Wipe dipstick clean, insert it into oil fill hole and tighten securely.
4.Remove dipstick and check. If oil is not up to the FULL mark on dipstick, add oil.
