Tractor Preparation

Remove the upper crating material from the shipping pallet, and cut any bands or tie straps securing the tractor to the pallet.

Use the lift handle to raise the deck to its highest position. Engage the transmission bypass rods on each side of the tractor; then carefully roll the tractor off the shipping pallet. The transmission bypass rods (one for each the RH and LH transmission) are located beneath the frame platform, just inside each rear wheel. Disengage the bypass rods. See Fig. 3-1.

Lower Deck Discharge Chute Deflector

WARNING! Never operate the mower deck without the chute deflector installed and in the down position.

The discharge chute deflector must be installed before operating the mower.

1.Remove the keys that are attached with a zip tie to the chute bracket.

2.Remove the flange lock nuts from the deck. Do not remove the push nuts or carriage bolts, leaving them in place will aid in installing the chute. See Fig. 3-2.

Remove the deck wash system nozzle adapter and oil drain tube from the manual bag and store for future use.
