Continuous Access Mode

When this mode is selected, the power supply will

(CAM)

be normally provided even when there is no

throughput.

Maximum Power-Saving

When this mode is selected, this device will stay in

Mode

power saving mode even when there is high volume

of throughput.

Fast Power-Saving Mode

When this mode is selected, the power mode will

switch between CAM and Maximum Power-Saving

Mode depending on the volume of throughput. The

device driver checks the total bytes (only data

frame) every 4 seconds to decide the power mode.

If the total bytes sent exceed 10k bytes, the device

driver will choose “CAM”. If the total bytes are

less than 10k bytes, however, the device driver will

choose “Maximum Power-Saving Mode”.

802.11b+g specifications

UNICOM Electric 802.11b+g is a versatile wireless networking solution that caters to the increasing demand for reliable and high-speed internet access in various environments. This technology encompasses the core wireless standards defined by the IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g specifications, both of which are widely recognized for their ability to provide robust connectivity in homes, offices, and public spaces.

One of the main features of the UNICOM Electric 802.11b+g is its support for multiple frequency bands. Operating primarily in the 2.4 GHz radio frequency spectrum, this technology allows for a maximum data transfer rate of 54 Mbps with 802.11g and a maximum of 11 Mbps with 802.11b. This backward compatibility ensures that devices using older standards can still connect seamlessly, making it an ideal solution for mixed environments.

Another standout characteristic of the UNICOM Electric 802.11b+g is its extended range. Thanks to advanced transmission techniques, it can provide consistent coverage across larger areas compared to older wireless standards. This feature is particularly useful in settings such as schools, warehouses, and large offices where network accessibility is crucial for productivity.

The device includes various security protocols designed to protect users’ data from unauthorized access. These protocols include Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), and Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2), ensuring that connections are encrypted and safe for use in sensitive environments.

Furthermore, UNICOM Electric 802.11b+g incorporates multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) technology, which enhances the performance and reliability of wireless connections. MIMO allows for the simultaneous transmission and reception of multiple data streams, significantly improving connection stability and reducing the likelihood of interference in crowded networks.

Ease of installation and configuration is another vital aspect of the UNICOM Electric 802.11b+g. The setup process is user-friendly, allowing even non-tech-savvy individuals to establish a wireless network quickly. This accessibility ensures that businesses and residential users can deploy the technology with minimal disruption.

Overall, the UNICOM Electric 802.11b+g combines high-speed connectivity, robust security, and easy deployment, making it a comprehensive solution for diverse networking needs in today’s digital landscape.
