ADJUSTING THE HANDSET RINGER, EARPIECE AND SPEAKER VOLUME
Handset ringer volume
Press the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as
/vol/
or
/vol/
in standby mode to select one of three ringer volume (off, low, or high).
Earpiece and speaker volume
Pressing the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as
/vol/
or
/vol/
key) during a call will change the earpiece and speaker volume of the handset. This setting will remain in effect after the telephone call has ended.
When you press volume up key ( /vol/
) in the maximum volume level or
volume down key ( /vol/
) in the lowest volume level, an error tone sounds.
Ringer Mute
You can temporarily mute the incoming ring. When the handset is off the cradle and the
phone is ringing, press . The incoming ring will return to the previous setting starting with the next incoming call.
Standby Mode - The handset is not in use and has not been pressed.
