Charging the Battery Pack

Your marine radio is powered by a specially designed nickel-cadmium battery pack or an Alkaline battery pack. (Alkaline batteries not included)

+Before operating the HH985, charge the nickel-cadmium battery pack for 15 hours without interruption in the drop-in charger.

1.Place the HH985 in the drop-in charger.

+The charger won't overcharge the battery pack.

+Do not transmit when the HH985 is in the drop-in charger!

+You can monitor incoming calls while the HH985 is in the drop-in charger.

+You can charge the battery pack alone or connected to the HH985.

+When you use the alkaline battery pack, the charger will not charge.

+Periodically, the Ni-cad battery should be fully drained prior to recharging.
