4.Attach the Fever Monitor to your child’s diaper or pajamas making sure the sensor probe is against her bare skin and that your baby is wearing clothing that covers the stomach as well as the monitor to avoid the loss of body heat. It will take approximately 3 minutes for the reading to stabilize.

5.To reset the monitor after the alarm goes off, press the Power button once and the beeping will stop. This will not interrupt the monitoring feature. Therefore, if your baby’s fever goes up another degree, the monitor will beep again.

6.To turn off, press the Power button for 2 seconds.

NOTE: To prolong battery life, please turn off your Fever Monitor when not in use. Store in a cool dry place.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AS AN ORAL THERMOMETER

1.Pull the monitor probe up and away from the monitor and wipe it clean with alcohol and then with water.

2.Press the Power button and listen for 1 beep which indicates it is ready to start taking a temperature reading.

3.Place the monitor probe under your child’s tongue toward the back. The temperature reading will be complete in approximately 1 minute.

What is a “normal” temperature?

Temperature varies with each individual. A normal temper- ature refers to each individual’s average temperature while they are well. Normal average temperatures range from 96.6–99.5° F (35.9–37.5°C) when taken orally. Oral temperature readings are more accurate than skin surface
