When turning the HDD into Standby mode, please avoid moving it for 2-3 minutes due to spin down of the device. Moving the HDD while it is still spinning may damage it. We are not liable for any data loss or damage caused by inappropriate or careless use.

It is recommended to unplug the unit from the power socket completely when not in use.
