Quick Installation1 Connect video cable
Makes ure both the ViewPanel®and
computerare powered OFF.
Connectthe VGA analog video cable to the
computerthen to the ViewPanel. Both
analogand digital (DVI) ports are available
onthe back of the ViewPanel for your
convenience.The DVI cable requires a DVI
videocard in your computer.
Macintosh users: Models older than G3
require a Macintosh adapter. Attach the
adapterto the computer and plug the video
cableinto the adapter.

contactViewSonic Customer Support.
2 Connect powercord
Connectthe power cord from the ViewPanel
to aproperly grounded AC outlet.
3 Power-ON ViewPanel and
computer
Power-ONthe ViewPanel,then power-ON
thecomputer. This sequence (ViewPanel
beforecomputer) is very important.
NOTE:Windows 95, 98 or 2000 users may
receivea message asking them to install the
VP230mbINF file.
4 Install display optimization files
(INF and ICM files)
(1)Insert the ViewSonic Wizard CD-ROM
intoyour computer’s CD-ROM drive.
NOTE:If your computer does not have a
CD-ROMdrive, see Customer Support in
thisuser guide.
(2) Waitfor the CD-ROM to auto-start .
NOTE:If the CD-ROM does not auto-start:
double-clickon the CD-ROM icon in the
WindowsExplorer, then double-click on
install.exe.
(3)Follow the on-screen instructions.
5 Windows users:Set the timing
mode (resolutionand refresh
rate)
Example: 1600 X 1200 @ 60 Hz.
Forinstructions on changing the resolution
andrefresh rate, see the user guide for your
computer'sgraphics card.
Installationis complete. Enjoy your new
VP230mbViewPanel.
