GAS COOKTOPS WARRANTY

ONE YEAR FULL WARRANTY

Gas cooktopsand all of their componentparts, except as detailedbelow*, are warranted to be free from defective materialsor workmanshipin normal householduse for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of originalretailpurchase. Viking Range Corporation,warrantor,agreesto repairor replace, at its option,any part which fails or is found to be defectiveduring the warranty period.

*Glass (includinglight bulbs),painted and decorative items are warranted to be free from defective materials or workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of originalretailpurchase. ANY DEFECTS MUST BE REPORTED TO THE SELLING DEALER WITHIN NINETY (90) DAYSFROM DATEOF ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE.

Viking Range Corporation uses the most up-to-dateprocessesand bestmaterials availableto produce allcolor finishes. However, slight color variation may be noticedbecauseof the inherentdifferencesin painted partsand porcelain parts as well as differences in kitchen lighting,productlocations,and otherfactors.

FIVE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Any surface burner which fails due to defectivematerialsor workmanshipin normal household use during the second throughfifth year from the date of originalretailpurchase will be repairedor replaced, free of charge for the part itself, with the owner paying all other costs, includinglabor.

NINETY (90)DAY RESIDENTIALPLUS WARRANTY

This warrantyapplies to applications whereuseof the productextendsbeyond normalresidentialuse.Examples are, but not limitedto,bed and breakfasts, firestations,private clubs,churches,etc. Thiswarranty excludes allcommercial locations such as restaurants, food service locationsandinstitutional food servicelocations.

This warranty extendsto the originalpurchaserof the product warranted hereunderand to each transferee owner of the product during the term of the warranty.

This warranty shall apply to products purchasedand located in the United States and Canada. Productsmust be purchased in the country where service is requested.Warranty labor shall be performed by an authorized Viking Range Corporation service agency or representative. Warranty shall not apply to damage resulting from abuse, accident, natural disaster,loss of electrical power to the productfor any reason, alteration,outdoor use, improperinstallation, improperoperation, or repairor service of the productby anyone other than an authorized Viking Range Corporation service agency or representative. This warrantydoes not apply to commercial usage. Warrantor is not responsiblefor consequentialor incidental damage whether arising out of breach of warranty, breachof contract, or otherwise.Some jurisdictions DO NOT allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental of consequentialdamages,so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Owner shall be responsiblefor properinstallation,providing normal care and maintenance,providingproof of purchase upon request, and making the appliance reasonablyaccessiblefor service. If the product or one of its componentparts containsa defect or malfunction during the warranty period,after a reasonable number of attempts by the warrantor to remedythe defects or malfunctions, the owner is entitledto either a refundor replacement of the product or its componentpart or parts. Warrantor’s liabilityon any claim of any kind, with respect to the goods or services coveredhereunder,shall in no case exceed the price of the goods or service or part thereofwhich gives rise to the claim.

WARRANTY SERVICE

Under the terms of this warranty, service must be performed by a factory authorized Viking Range Corporation service agent or representative. Service will be providedduring normal businesshours, and labor performedat overtime or premiumrates shall not be covered by this warranty. Toobtain warranty service,contactthe dealer from whom the product was purchased,an authorizedViking Range Corporation service agent, or Viking Range Corporation. Providemodel and serial number and date of originalpurchase.For the name of your nearest authorized Viking Range Corporationservice agency, call the dealer from whom the productwas purchased or Viking Range Corporation. IMPORTANT: Retain proof of originalpurchaseto establishwarranty period.

The return of the Owner Registration Card is not a condition of warranty coverage.You should, however, return the Owner Registration Card so that Viking Range Corporationcan contactyou should any question of safety arise which could affect you.

Any impliedwarranties of merchantabilityand fitnessapplicable to the above described surface burner,griddle burner,grill burner,oven burner,porcelainoven, or porcelain inner door panel are limitedin durationto the period of coverage of the applicableexpresswrittenlimitedwarranties set forth above. Some jurisdictions DO NOT allow limitations on how long an impliedwarranty lasts, so the above limitationmay not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights,and you may also have other rights which may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
