￿WARNING: Follow all safety instructions provided with your barbecue.

￿WARNING: Do not drop the cast iron griddle— it will break.

￿WARNING: Do not use two griddles in your gas grill.

Prior to first use:

Wash thoroughly with a mild dishwashing liquid to remove the protective wax coating.

First time use:

Rinse with warm water and dry completely with a soft cloth or paper towel.

DO NOT ALLOW THE GRIDDLE TO AIR DRY. NEVER WASH IN A DISHWASHER.

How to use:

Look for the edge of the griddle that has two flat metal tabs, called spacers (see ill. a).

Lay the griddle directly on the cooking grate with spacers facing the lid hinges (The spacers enable proper lid closing).

How to remove:

Turn off grill burner(s) before attempting to remove a hot griddle.

A hole and notch on either side of the griddle is designed for the insertion of the steel lift-handles (see ill. b). To insert the handles, place the hook of the handle under and then thru the hole (see ill. c).

Carefully lift the griddle off of the cooking grate taking care not to spill meat juices or sauces onto the hot cooking grate, burner or one’s self (see ill. d).

Tips:

Since cast iron holds heat well, you will not need to use extremely high cooking temperatures. Best results are obtained with medium to medium-high heat. Do not overheat.

Maintenance:

Brush debris off with a steel bristled wire brush.

Q Griddle specifications

The Weber Q Griddle is a versatile and innovative cooking solution designed for both outdoor enthusiasts and home chefs. This griddle, compatible with the popular Weber Q series of grills, enhances the cooking experience by providing a flat, even cooking surface that is ideal for a variety of foods.

One of the standout features of the Weber Q Griddle is its dual-sided design. One side offers a smooth cooking surface perfect for pancakes, eggs, and delicate seafood, while the other side features a ribbed surface ideal for grilling burgers, steaks, and vegetables. This versatility allows users to easily switch between different cooking styles, accommodating various culinary creations without the need for multiple appliances.

The griddle is constructed from high-quality cast iron, which ensures excellent heat retention and distribution. This material not only provides a durable cooking surface but also helps to achieve that sought-after sear on meat, creating flavor-enhancing caramelization. The cast iron is coated with a porcelain enamel finish, making it easy to clean and resistant to rust and wear over time.

In terms of technology, the Weber Q Griddle is designed for easy use. It is equipped with integrated heat deflectors that ensure even heat across the entire surface, allowing for precise temperature control. This feature guarantees that food cooks uniformly, reducing the risk of hot spots that can lead to uneven cooking.

Another notable characteristic of the Weber Q Griddle is its compatibility with the Weber Q propane grill. It fits seamlessly onto the grill, making it simple to attach and detach as needed. This design makes it effortless to transition from grilling to griddling, maximizing the grill's functionality and enabling users to explore a broader range of cooking possibilities.

Safety features are also taken into account with the Weber Q Griddle. It includes a built-in grease management system that channels excess fat away from the cooking surface, minimizing flare-ups and enhancing safety during outdoor cooking sessions. The griddle is built to withstand the elements, making it a reliable companion for backyard barbecues, tailgating events, and camping trips.

In summary, the Weber Q Griddle stands out in the world of outdoor cooking with its dual-sided functionality, high-quality cast iron construction, integrated heat deflectors, and compatibility with the Weber Q series grills. Its thoughtful design and robust features make it an essential tool for those looking to elevate their outdoor cooking game in a convenient and efficient manner.
