8. SETTING UP MACINTOSH OS X
This section provides instructions on how to use Macintosh Operating System 10 with the Westell Dual Connect
NAT Router. Follow the instructions in this section to create a new network configuration for Macintosh OS X.
NOTE: The USB installation will not function for Macintosh Computers. Macintosh computers must use
the Router’s Ethernet installation. Refer to section 5.4.1 for installation instructions via Ethernet.
Open the System Preference Screen
After you have connected the Westell Router to the Ethernet port of your Macintosh, the screen below will appear.
Click on the “Apple” icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select System Preferences.
Choose the Network Preferences
After selecting System Preferences…, from the previous screen, the System Preferences screen will be displayed.
From the System Preferences screen, click on the Network icon.
