If your refrlgerotor ISequrpped with an automatic ice maker, shut off the Ice maker water supply 0 day ahead of ttme Disconnect the water lrne After the last supply ot Ice drops, lrft the signal arm to turn off the ice maker

Remove all food Pack frozen foods In dry Ice Unplug the refrrgeratoc and clean It thoroughly

Remove everythIng that comes out Wrap all parts well and tape them together so they don’t shaft and rattle

Screw In the leveling rollers, tape the doors shut, tape the electric cord to the cabinet When you get to your new home. put everything back, level It, reconnect the water supply and refer to the “Before Usrng ” page

If you need service or assistance, we suggest you follow these four steps:

1. Before calling for assistance.. .

Performance problems often result from little things You can find ana frx yourself without tools of any kind

If your refrigerator will not operate:

l Is the electric cord plugged In3

lIs a fuse blown or a clrcutt breaker tripped7 l Is the Refrrgera:or Control turned ON 3

If there is a rattling or jingling noise, or other unfamiliar sounds:

l Is something on top or behind the refrigerator mak- ing notse when the refrigerator ISrunning?

l New features C:IJyour new refrigerator make new sounds You may be hearing air flowing from the fans, timer CRICKS for the defrosting cycle, defrost water draining Into the defrost pan

If there is water in the defrost pan:

l In hot, muggy weather, this ISnormal The pan can even be half full Make sure the refrigerator is level so the pan doesn’t overflow

If the light doesn’t work:

l Check fuses and crrcult breakers Make sure It’s plugged in

If a bulb is burned out:

l See instructrons for changrng light bulbs on page 6 Use appliance bulbs only

If the motor seems to run too much:

l Is the condenser, behind the refrigerator, free of dust and lint’

lOn hot days, or ‘f the room ISwarm, the motor natu rally runs longer

l If the door has been opened a lot, or if a large amount of fooa has been put in, the motor will run longer to cool down the interior.

Remember: Motor running time depends on drf- ferent things number of door openings, amount of food stored. temperature of the room, settrng of the controls

And, your new refrigerator may be larger than your old one so I? has more space to be cooled It also has a regular freezer Instead of a frozen food compartment All thts means better refrigeration and may require more running trme than your old one.
