If surface units will not operate:

lHave you checked the main fuse or circuit-breaker box? l Are surface units plugged in all the way?

l Do the control knobs turn?

If surface-unit Control Knob or Knobs will not turn:

lIs the spring put in correctly, as shown on page 12 in the “Cleaning

and Caring for your Range“Section?

lDid you push in before trying to turn?

If the Self-Cleaning Cycle will not operate:

@Are the Oven Selector Knob and the Oven Temperature Control Knob set to “CLEAN?”

lDoes the Start Time Knob show the correct time of day?

lIs the Stop Time Knob set ahead to the time you want the cleaning cycle to stop?

lIs the Lock Lever all the way to the right? (The Clean Light will come on. J

If cooking results aren’t what you expect:

lIs the range level?

lAre you using pans recommended in the Cooking Guide?

lIf baking. have you allowed 1% to 2 inches (4-5 cm) on all sides of the pans for air circulation’?

lDoes the oven temperature seem too low or too high? See page 5, “Resetting Your Oven Temperature Control Knob.”

lHave you preheated the oven as the recipe calls for? l Are the pans the size called for in the recipe?

l Are you following a tested recipe from a reliable source? l Do the cooking utensils have smooth, flat bottoms?

lDo the cooking utensils fit the surface unit being used?
