Problem

Solution

When attempting to image a cloud

Use the following:

client you receive an Illegal TFTP

• If this is the first you are attempting to image using Wyse

operation error message.

Simple Imager, more than likely this is an installation

problem. Review the Wyse Simple Imager installation section and verify the installation process.

• If Wyse Simple Imager worked correctly in the past, try re-imaging a different cloud client. If the issue is resolved, you have a hardware problem and will need to send the defective cloud client to the Wyse service department for repair (see "Wyse Technical Support").

When attempting to image a cloud client you receive a Boot file not found message.

If you have a VPN client installed on the Wyse Simple Imager server, remove it and try again.

Obtaining File not found error

Verify that your default FTP server address is set correctly using

messages.

the IIS Administration utility (see Microsoft documentation).

You are not obtaining an IP Address.

In any case where you are not obtaining an IP Address, verify

that the router DHCP server is up and running (see your router

documentation to fix the problem).

You are obtaining a PXE-E78error on the cloud client and cannot re-image.

PXE-E78means Unable to locate boot server. The most common cause of this is when the Wyse Simple Imager server is installed by itself with no router running DHCP connected to the Wyse Simple Imager server. In such a case, you receive a loopback IP Address created for the proxy server in Wyse Simple Imager. Uninstall Wyse Simple Imager ONLY, make sure you connect the Wyse Simple Imager server and the router with DHCP running and then re-install Wyse Simple Imager.

When re-imaging a device, the cloud client reboots as normal to the original firmware.

When a device is imaged, two log files are created. These files will have the extensions of .log and either .fin or .end (these files are located in the following directory:

C:\inetpub\ftproot\rapport\tools\sa\logs).

.fin - Indicates a Successful imaging of the device

.end - Indicates a Failure to image a device

.log - Contains the Transaction information of the imaging process

To correct this problem, go to the Wyse Simple Imager console (see Figure 3), click Delete Logs, and then try re-imaging. You can also manually delete these files and try re-imaging again.

You followed the usage instructions Uninstall Wyse Simple Imager and then re-install according to

and still cannot image the cloud the instructions in this guide. client.

Release 2.0.2 specifications

Wyse Technology has recently launched its new software version, Release 2.0.2, which is set to enhance the user experience and improve overall performance while providing advanced solutions for cloud computing. This release is particularly important for enterprises relying on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and cloud-based environments.

One of the most significant features of Release 2.0.2 is its improved user interface. The updated UI showcases a cleaner, more intuitive design that simplifies navigation for users. This enhancement ensures that both new and seasoned users can access the functionality they need with minimal effort, significantly reducing the learning curve often associated with adopting new technology platforms.

Another key aspect of Release 2.0.2 is its support for additional virtualization technologies. The software now seamlessly integrates with Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, allowing organizations to leverage the most suitable solution for their specific needs. This flexibility empowers businesses to create a more tailored desktop experience for their employees, thereby enhancing productivity and collaboration.

Security features have also been significantly upgraded in Release 2.0.2. The new version includes improved encryption protocols, which are essential for protecting sensitive data transmitted over the networks. Additionally, the integration of multi-factor authentication (MFA) ensures that only authorized personnel can access virtual desktop environments, thus safeguarding enterprise resources from potential threats.

Performance enhancements in this release should not go unnoticed. With optimized resource allocation and advanced caching techniques, Release 2.0.2 delivers faster load times and reduced latency, providing users with a smoother experience. These improvements are particularly beneficial for organizations with large teams that rely on daily access to centralized applications and data.

Moreover, Wyse Technology has incorporated enhanced analytics features into the software. Administrators now have access to comprehensive insights into system performance, user activity, and application usage. This data-driven approach enables IT departments to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and troubleshooting, ultimately leading to improved operational efficiency.

Finally, Release 2.0.2 includes several enhancements aimed at increasing compatibility with various devices. Whether employees are using traditional desktops, thin clients, or mobile devices, the new release ensures a consistent experience across all platforms, reflecting the growing trend of remote work.

In conclusion, Wyse Technology’s Release 2.0.2 marks a significant upgrade that combines usability enhancements, security improvements, and increased performance to support modern enterprise needs. With these innovations, Wyse continues to position itself as a leading provider of cloud computing solutions.
