Listening to the radio

You can find radio stations automatically, if station signals are strong and there is no interference. However, if signals of the desired station signal is weak, you must tune to it manually.

Automatic tuning

1Press INPUT so that the frequency of the radio station appears in the display.

2Press FM/AM to select the reception band.

3Press and hold TUNING /(for a higher frequency) or ?(for a lower frequency) for more than 2 seconds, then release the button.

4The unit starts searching for a station.

When the unit finds a station, the unit stops searching and “TUNED” appears in the display.

5If the located station is not the desired one, repeat steps 3 and 4 until your desired station is heard.

Notes

If automatic tuning search does not find the desired station, try manual tuning as described below.

When an FM stereo broadcast with sufficient signal strength is received, “STEREO” appears in the display and you can listen to stereo sound.

Manual tuning

1Follow steps 1 and 2 described in “Automatic tuning.”

2Press TUNING / (for a higher frequency) or ? (for a lower frequency) to select your desired station.

Each time you press TUNING / or ?, the frequency changes step by step.

Note

If an FM program is noisy, press ST/MONO so that ”STEREO” disappears from the display. There will be no stereo effect, but the reception will improve. Press this button again to restore the stereo effect.

One touch play

You can switch from another source to the radio just by pressing FM/AM. In this case, the unit tunes to the last received station.

Using the //?buttons on the front panel

The //?buttons on the front panel work as the TUNING //?buttons or PRESET //?buttons. To change a part, press TUNING/PRESET on the front panel. Each time you press TUNING/PRESET, the item changes.
