THE YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL

In the five decades of its existence, the YAMAHA music school has developed pioneering concepts for the teaching of music. In an international context, for example, the pro- grammes based on fundamental research for children of pre- school age are unique. At the YAMAHA music schools, cogni- sance is taken of current educational trends and findings, and these are put into practice. The teaching programs are constantly updated and are therefore always in line with the latest trends in research into the teaching of music.

Learning with others is a particu- larly effective method of teach- ing. This is what our experience over the last decades has shown: by joining in, listening and mak- ing a contribution within a group, children, young people and adults quickly develop their musicality

and the pleasure they get from playing. The open group les- son is therefore a firm part YAMAHA's teaching programme.

The teaching programmes and highly trained teaching staff of the YAMAHA music schools are designed to provide ver- satile and comprehensive musical encouragement for chil- dren from as young as 4 months. Seamless follow-up teach- ing programmes and methods, which are carefully designed for communication appropriate to the particular age group, ensure that optimum use is made of a child's current devel- opment window. Young people and adults can realise their musical dreams in every musical genre.

Robbie:Introducing infants from 4-18 months to music

Toddlers:Musical hour of playing for children in the age of 1,5-4 years

Music Wonderland: Musical early education for children in the age of 4-6 years

Hörbie and Tönchen: Musical elementary education for pre-school aged children, including a keyboard instrument

Instrumental programmes:

Magic Flute:For children from 6 up, young persons and adults

Fun with six strings: Guitar group lessons for children from 6 up, young persons and adults

Keys 4 Music: Piano group lessons for young persons from 10 up and adults

Fun Key Kids: Piano- or keyboard group lessons for children in the age of 6-10 years

Fun Key:Keyboard group lessons for young persons from 10 up and adults

The YAMAHA Popular Music School

Even pop stars had to start somewhere! In our "YAMAHA Popular Music School" we practice with professional playbacks right from the start. This helps us to under- stand the musical relationships better, and it's also great fun. We have courses for: Drums, E-Bass, E-Guitar, Keyboard, Saxophone, Flute and Vocals.
