Disconnect any electric devices 2. Turn the engine switch to the “STOP” position 3.Turn the fuel cock lever to “OFF” MAINTENANCE CHART Regular maintenance is most important for best performance and safe operation Stop the engine before starting maintenance work Page SPARK PLUG INSPECTION CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT Be sure no foreign material enters the crankcase AIR FILTER 1.Remove the air filter cover and element 2.Wash the element in solvent and dry Recommended oil: Foam-air-filteroil SAE #20 motor oil FUEL COCK Be sure the fuel cock cup is tightened securely FUEL TANK FILTER Be sure the tank cap is tightened securely MUFFLER SCREEN AND SPARK ARRESTER (For EF4000DE/YG4000D) Page Page (for EF4000DE/EF5200DE/EF6600DE/YG6600DE) Replenishing the battery fluid 9Do not disconnect the battery during engine operation 9Avoid operating the generator with the battery removed Antidote: EXTERNAL-Flushwith water FUSE REPLACEMENT (for EF4000DE/EF5200DE/EF6600DE/YG6600DE) Be sure the engine switch is turned off to prevent accidental short circuiting G.F.C.I.
