Something Not Working
SYMPTOM
nThere is no spark when lighting the gas
nThe gas ring burns unevenly
n
The oven does not come on
nThe oven light does not come on
nThe timer does not work
nIt takes too long to finish the dishes, or they are
cooked too fast.
nSteam and condensation settle on the food and the
oven cavity.
SOLUTION
uCheck that the unit is plugged in and the electrical
supply is switched on
uCheck that the RCCB has not tripped (if fitted)
uCheck the mains fuse has not blown
uCheck the burner cap and crown have been
replaced correctly, e.g. after cleaning.
uCheck the main jet is not blocked and the burner
crown is clear of food particles.
uCheck the burner cap and crown have been
replaced correctly, e.g. after cleaning.
uCheck a cooking function / temperature have been
selected.
uCheck the socket switch or the switch from the
mains supply to the oven is ON.
uCheck the light bulb, and replace it if necessary
(see "Oven Light Replacement")
uCheck the instructions for the timer
uThe temperature may need adjusting
uRefer to the contents of this booklet, especially to
the chapter Using the Oven.
uLeave dishes inside the oven no longer than 15-20
minutes after the cooking is completed.
If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks, before contacting your local Service
Centre.

If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation,
a charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee.

Service and Spare Parts
When you contact the Service Force Centre you will need
to give the following details:
1. Your name, address and post code
2. Your telephone number
3. Clear and concise details of the fault
4. The model and serial number of the appliance (found
on the rating plate)
5. The purchase date
Please note that it will be necessary to provide proof of
purchase for any in-guarantee service calls.
In-guarantee customers should ensure that the
above checks have been made as the engineer
will make a charge if the fault is not a
mechanical or electrical breakdown.
If after all these checks, the cooker still does not work, contact your local Zanussi Service Force Centre.
