■STARTING THE ENGINE

Take care that the cutting head will start rotating upon the engine starts.

1.Push the primer pump(1) several times until overflown fuel flows out in the clear tube. (F5-1)

2.Move the choke lever(2) to the closed position. (F5-1)

3.Set the engine switch(a) to the " I " position. Set the throttle lever to the start position (1-2). (F5-2)

4.Place the unit on a flat, firm place. Keep the cutting head clear of everything around it.

5.While holding the unit firmly, pull out the starter rope quickly. (F5-3)

6.After the engine has started, open the choke guradually and allow the engine to warm up. Pull the throttle lever to unlock it.

■STOPPING THE ENGINE 1. Release the throttle lever.

2. Move the engine switch to the "O" position. (F5-4)

■ADJUSTMENTS

Throttle cable:

The normal play is 1 or 2 mm when measured at the carburetor side end. Readjust with the cable adjuster(1) as re-quired. (F5-5)

Engine idling speed:

It is normal that the engine keeps running without the blade rotation, when the throttle lever is released. When the engine speed is too high or too slow, readjust the idle set screw (2). (F5-6)

■SWIVEL LOCK

a)When the unit is not hung down with the harness, as in transportation, use the swivel lock to prevent the engine from roll down.

b)To lock the swivel, turn the wing nut(1) clockwise. (F5-7)

c)For normal operation, keep the wing

■ARRANCAR EL MOTOR

Tenga cuidado con el cabezal de corte ya que empezará a girar una vez que el motor arranque.

1.Oprima el cebador del motor (1) varias veces hasta que fluya combustible por el tubo. (F5-1)

2.Mueva la palanca del estrangulador

(2) a la posición de cerrado. (F5-1)

3.Coloque el interruptor del motor (a) en la posición “I”. Coloque la palanca del acelerador en la posición de arranque (1-2). (F5-2)

4.Coloque la unidad en un lugar firme y plano. Mantenga el cabezal de corte alejado de cualquier cosa.

5.Mientras sujeta la unidad firmemente, jale el arrancador rápidamente. (F5-3)

6.Después de haber arrancado el motor, abra el estrangulador gradualmente y permita que el motor se caliente. Jale la palanca del acelerador para desbloquearlo.

■PARA DETENER EL MOTOR

1.Suelte la palanca del acelerador.

2.Mueva el interruptor del motor a la posición “O” (F5-4)

■Ajustes

Cable del acelerador:

La medida normal es 1 o 2 mm medido desde el borde del carburador. Reajuste con el ajustador de cable (1) como se requiera. (F5-5)

Velocidad de inactividad del motor:

Al soltar la palanca del acelerador, es normal que el motor se mantenga acelerado sin girar la cuchilla. Cuando la velocidad del motor es muy alta o muy baja, reajuste con el tornillo de aceleración (2). (F5-6)

■BLOQUE DE GIRO

a)Cuando la unidad no se encuentre colgada con el arnés, como por ejemplo durante el transporte, utilice el bloqueo de giro para prevenir que el motor caiga.

b)Para bloquear el giro, gire la tuerca de mariposa (1) en sentido horario.
