OPERATION

Install padlock (not included) or lockout pin into switch trigger slot. Keep both hands away from switch.

NOTE: The lockout pin does not protect against unauthorized usage.

Unlatch and remove the bottom cover.

Remove the attached blade, if necessary.

Install the desired blades into the slot on the bottom of the grass shear/shrubber.

Reattach the bottom cover by sliding it into the slots on the bottom of the grass shear/shrubber until it clicks into place.

Remove padlock from switch trigger slot.

LOCK-OFF BUTTON

See Figure 5.

The lock-off button reduces the possibility of accidental starting. The lock-off button is located on the handle above the switch trigger. The lock-off button must be depressed before you pull the switch trigger. The lock resets each time the trigger is released.

NOTE: You can depress the lock-off button from either the left or right side.

SWITCH TRIGGER

See Figure 5.

To prevent unauthorized use of the grass shear/shrubber, disconnect it from the power supply and lock the switch in the off position. To lock the switch, install a padlock (not included) through the hole in the switch trigger. A lock with a long shackle up to 9/32 in. diameter may be used. When the lock is installed and locked, the switch is inoperable. Store the padlock key in another location.

STARTING AND STOPPING

See Figure 5.

To start:

Depress the lock-off button.

Depress the switch trigger.

To stop:

Release the switch trigger.

Installing/removing the extension handle

See Figure 6.

The grass shear/shrubber can be used with or without the extension handle.

To install the extension handle:

Stop the motor.

Unplug the rubber stopper from grass shear/shrubber extension handle slot.

Insert extension handle end into grass shear/shrubber extension handle slot.

Insert the electrical cord into the electrical outlet on the grass shear/shrubber.

Reattach the bottom cover by sliding it into the slots on the bottom of the grass shear/shrubber until it clicks into place.

Remove padlock from switch trigger slot.
