WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.
WARNING:
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during product operation. If operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum- based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
Only the parts shown on the parts list are intended to be repaired or replaced by the customer. All other parts should be replaced at an Authorized Service Center.
LUBRICATING THE BLADE
See Figure 9.
For easier operation and longer blade life, lubricate grass shear/shrubber blades before and after each use. If you will be using the grass shear/shrubber for an extended period, it is advisable to oil the blade during use.
Stop the motor.
Install padlock (not included) into switch trigger slot. Keep both hands away from switch.
Lay the grass shear/shrubber on a flat surface. Apply light weight machine oil along the edge of the top blade.
Remove padlock from switch trigger slot.
NOTE: Do not oil while the grass shear/shrubber is running.
CLEANING THE Grass shear/shrubber
Stop the motor.
Install padlock (not included) into switch trigger slot. Keep both hands away from switch.
Slide the scabbard over the blade.
Clean dirt and debris from the body of the grass shear/ shrubber, using a damp cloth with a mild detergent.
Remove padlock from switch trigger slot.
NOTE: Do not use any strong detergents on the plastic housing or the handle. They can be damaged by certain aromatic oils such as pine and lemon, and by solvents such as kerosene.

Blades are sharp. When handling the blade assembly, wear
