Inspectthelineheadassemblyfor cracksordamage.

Whilegentlypullingonthecuttingline,

pressthespool(bumphead)untilthe

linereleasesIfthejamiscleared,the. spoolshouldspinfreeashortdistance andthelinewilladvance.

Iftheunitcontinuestojamorwill notspinfreely,call800-539-6455. Failuretostoptheunitwhenthe lineisjammedwiltcauseexcessive batterydrainageandshortenmotorlife (overheating).

FuseReplacement

Toreplacethefuse,youmust firstremovethelineguardfrom thetrimmerTurnthelinetrimmer.

attachmentupsidedownAlignthe. arrowontheedgingwheelwiththe arrowonthelineguardRemovethe. screwthatisexposedintheholein theedgingwheelwithastandard screwdriverRemovetheguardby. pullingawayfromthetrimmerhousing.

Withthelineguardremoved,remove

thescrewshowninfigure16fromthe taboftheredfusecoverontheright

sideofthetrimmerhousing.

Pullthefusestraightoutoftheholder. Replacethefusewiththesametype 15ampminiautofuse.Pushthefuse holderbackintothetrimmerhousing. Replacetheredfusecoverbyfirst insertingthetabatthetopofthecover intothehousingandthensecuringitin placewiththescrewthatyouremoved previouslyAttachthelineguardtothe. trimmerhousing(seethesectionon attachingthelineguard).
