1.Antenna connector: With BNC connector type. A mobile or base station antenna (adapter required) can be used to extend range.

2.“Squelch” Control: For the maximum receiver sensitivity, the control must be adjusted exactly where the receiver background noise disappears.

3."ON/OFF" Volume Control.

In ‘’OFF’’ position your transceiver is off. Turn this control clockwise to switch on the unit. Turn the knob clockwise a little more to set the audio level, until you get a comfortable sound level.

4.Multifunction backlighted display. This liquid crystal display has been enlarged to show all of the operating modes.

A.Shows the selected channel number or operating frequency.

B.Indicates the received signal strength or the relative power of the transmit signal.

C.RX: Indicates the receive mode is on.

D.EMG: Icon appears to indicate the emergency channel 9 function is activated.

E. LOW: Low icon appears when the low power function activated.

F. SAVE: Indicates the save function is activated. This is an automatic function to increase battery life.

G. LOCK: Indicates the keyboard lock function is activated.

H. BATT: When this icon illuminates, it indicates the batteries are low and should be replaced or recharged.

I. TX: Illuminates to indicate the unit is in the tx mode.
