J. DW: Illuminates when the dual watch mode is enabled.

K. AM: Indicates the CB mode is activated.

L. “F”: Indicates the function button has been activated. The function mode allows use of the modes inprinted on the function buttons face.

M. “M/1”: Indicates the memory channel selection.

N. SCAN: Illuminates to indicate the scan mode is activated.

O. WX: When visible indicates your transceiver is in the weather receive mode. Select the appropriate channel with the up/down buttons.

5.Hand Strap Mount: Attach the included hand strap to this point.

6.Mic/Spk: Plug in an optional speaker/microphone in this jack. The Midland model 22-410 speaker/mic or 22-430 throat mic with earphone is available from your Midland dealer or directly from Midland.

7.LIGHT button: Press and release will cause the display backlight to turn on. It will automatically shut off after a few seconds.

8.”LCR’’ button: Pressing this button will recall the last selected channel.

9.“F” button: This is a dual function button. Press and release to activate the “M1- M5” memory selections or for memory programming. Press and hold will cause the display to toggle between channel number and frequency readout.

10.PTT” button: Press to activate transmit.

11.”Channel UP” button: To skip to the next channel in CB or weather mode. Keeping this button pressed causes rapid incrementing.

12.“Channel DOWN”: To skip to the previous channel in CB or weather mode. Keeping this button pressed causes rapid incrementing.

13.“Control buttons”:

a.“M1 CH9/19 Button”; Press this button and release to select emergnecy channel 9.

Press and release again and highway channel 19 will be selected. Press and release

again will

cause return to the original channel.

To select memory channel 1; Press the “F” function button and release. Then press

the “M1” button and release, memory channel 1 will be selected.

To program memory channel 1; Select the desired channel to be in memory 1. Press

and

release the “F” function button. Press and hold the “M1” button until a “beep” is

heard

and the M1 icon is displayed. The selected channel is now programmed in

memory 1.

b.“M2 DW Button”; To program the 2 dual watch channels, select the first channel.

Press

and hold the “DW” dual watch button until a “beep” is heard and the DW icon

begins

flashing. While the DW icon is flashing select the second channel, then press

and hold

the DW button again until a “beep” is heard and the DW icon stops

flashing. The receiver

will scan between the 2 programmed dual watch channels.

To stop dual watch press the “DW” button. To resume dual watch press the “DW” button again.

To select memory channel M2 press and release the “M2” button.
