AM/FM Activates the tuner.

BALANCE Adjusts the sound from the left and right speakers.

BAND Selects the AM or FM radio band.

BASS Accesses Bass mode so that you can adjust the bass using the LEVEL up and down buttons.

CENTER MODE Lets you select a center mode when using Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby 3 Stereo:

Normal Select if you are using a small center speaker. This is the recommended mode.

Wide Select if the center speaker is large or the same as the left and right speakers. The full range of Dolby Surround Center Channel is routed to the center speaker.

Phantom Select when there is no center speaker. The signal intended for the center speaker is divided equally between the left and right main speakers. Phantom mode is not available in 3 Stereo mode.

CENTER Selects the center speaker so you can adjust the volume level.

CD Selects the CD player input.

DELAY Lets you choose 15, 20 or 30 milliseconds as the sound delay in the rear speaker to adjust the audio output for room size. When listening, the closer you are to the rear speakers, the higher you should set the delay. Experiment to achieve the best sound effect for your room. 20ms is recommended.

DVD/LD Selects the DVD or laserdisc player as input with conventional 2 Channel A-udio.
