9.Remove the dipstick/oil cap and fill with an SAE 10W-30 motor oil rated for diesel engines. Check the level on the dipstick frequently until full (Figure 21). Avoid over filling or seals may be damaged.

6.Tighten the dipstick/oil cap.

7.Dispose of the used oil in accordance with local regulations.

3.Remove the oil drain plug and drain plug gas- ket.

4.After all the oil has drained, reinstall and tight- en the oil drain plug with drain plug gasket.

5.Remove the oil cap and fill with SAE 30 oil. Add oil slowly and check the level frequently. The pump is full when oil is just past the red dot, covering the lower 23 of the viewing port (Figure 23). Do not overfill.

Pump Oil Change

Replace the pump oil once after 20 hours, and then regularly every 100 hours or 3 months.

To change the pump oil:

1.FOLLOW SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE AND ALLOW ENGINE TO COOL!

2.Loosen the oil cap (Figure 22).

3.Place a container under the oil drain plug (Figure 22).

6.Reinstall the oil cap and tighten securely.

7.Dispose of the used oil in accordance with local regulations.
