New Construction

Performance of your HSi loud- speaker can be enhanced if the wall cavity is filled with standard fiberglass insulation. If there is already insulation in the wall that has a paper backing facing the speaker, remove the backing in the area behind the installation location. (Consult local building codes for compliance.)

Taking steps to increase the rigidity of the mounting surface by using additional drywall screws, and/or the use of a con- struction adhesive between the drywall and studs adjacent to the speaker location, will further enhance performance.

•HSi 475, HSi 485 — Set bass management control to “Large.”

•HSi 455, HSi 455W2, HSi N545W2 — Set bass manage- ment control to “Small.”

•Consult your surround receiver or processor manual for instructions on changing the bass management control.
