MANUAL DE INSTRUCCIONES NORTHSTAR DE BUSHNELL

Su telescopio Bushnell puede poner las maravillas del universo ante sus ojos. Si bien este manual trata de asistirle en el montaje y el uso básico de este instrumento, lo cierto es que no cubre todo lo que le gustaría saber sobre astronomía. Aunque el Northstar le proporcionará un viaje respetable por el cielo nocturno, le recomendamos que consiga una carta celeste muy simple y una linterna con bombilla roja o que esté cubierta con un papel de celofán rojo. Para ver otros objetos que no sean las estrellas y las constelaciones, es muy importante que tenga una guía básica de astronomía. La Luna—puede disfrutar con cualquier lente de aumento una vista maravillosa de nuestro vecino lunar. Trate de mirar cuando la Luna atraviese por diferentes fases. Las altiplanicies lunares, mares lunares (tierras bajas que se llaman "mares" por sus colores oscuros), los cráteres, las crestas y las montañas le dejarán atónito.

Saturno—hasta con una lente de baja potencia tiene que ser capaz de ver los anillos y las lunas de Saturno. Se trata de uno de los objetos celestes que podrá ver con mayor satisfacción en el cielo por la sencilla razón que tiene el mismo aspecto que en las fotografías. ¡Imagínese viendo la misma imagen que ha visto en los libros de texto o las fotografías de la NASA desde su propio jardín!

Júpiter—el planeta más grande de nuestro sistema solar es espectacular. Sus características más notables son las franjas o bandas oscuras que tiene por encima y por de bajo de su línea ecuatorial que reciben el nombre de cinturones ecuatoriales. También son muy interesantes las cuatro lunas principales de Júpiter. Preste atención a sus respectivas posiciones de una noche a otra. Da la impresión de que están alineadas en cualquiera de los lados de Júpiter

Marte—el gran planeta rojo aparece como si fuera un disco rojo-anaranjado. Obsérvelo en épocas diferentes del año y trate de vislumbrar sus casquetes polares helados y blancos.

Venus—igual que la Luna, Venus cambia de fase todos los meses. A veces Venus aparece brillante en el cielo nocturno, como si estuviera mirando a una luna distante en cuarto creciente.

Nebulosas—la nebulosa Gran Orión es uno de los objetos más conocidos del cielo nocturno. Esta nebulosa y muchas otras son visibles a través de este telescopio.

Cúmulos de estrellas—vista de millones de estrellas que forman cúmulos parecidos a una pelota.

Galaxias—Una de las galaxias más grandes e interesantes es nuestra vecina la galaxia Andrómeda. Puede disfrutar viendo esta galaxia y otras muchas.
