2Setting Up the Chassis

8.Slide the drive into the chassis. When properly positioned, the holes in the side of the drive align with the threaded holes in the chassis frame.

9.Secure the drive to the side of the chassis with two screws. Note that only two screws are required at the left side of the chassis to secure the device to the chassis. Tighten the screws firmly.

10.Connect the data and power cables to the drive.

Device Installation Considerations

The number of devices you can install depends on:

The number supported by the bus on your server board

The number of physical drive bays available

The combination of SCSI and IDE devices

The amount of power required by other components in your chassis.
