Troubleshooting Solutions
1If you are using a cable or DSL modem and are having problems connecting to the Internet, do the following:
•Turn off your cable or DSL modem, PC, and the
Gateway.
•Turn on your modem and wait a few minutes until the modem has established a connection with your ISP.
•Turn on the Gateway.
•Turn on your PC and attempt to connect to the Internet. For most users, the Gateway’s default values should be satisfactory. Some users may need to enter additional information in order to connect to the Internet through their ISP or broadband (cable or DSL) carrier. For example, some cable providers require a specific MAC address for connection to the Internet. To learn more about this, click the Advanced Settings tab and then the MAC Address Clone tab.
