resources will again be devoted to the normal function of your on-screen applications.

Depending upon the processing speed and brand of your computer, you may or may not need to select this option when printing with PrimeraPro. For most computers, selecting this option will enhance the rasterizing and printing process. In this case, the Write Direct to Port option should be selected. For some computers, however, this option may either not be supported by the particular brand of PC or simply may not be necessary due to the PCÕs fast processing speed. In this case, the Write Direct to Port option should not be selected. If you choose not to select this option, all print jobs should be sent through Print Manager in order to achieve the highest print quality.

When the Write Direct to Port option is selected, the Print to File option found within many Windows application programs is not supported. The Print to File option is supported only when printing through Print Manager.

Select either Portrait or Landscape. Portrait causes the page to print in the upright position where text is printed across the width of the page (8.5Ó x 11Ó). Landscape causes the page to print in the sideways position where text is printed across the length of the page (11Ó x 8.5Ó). An icon illustrating a printed page in the dialog box helps you remember the difference between the two.

4.After your selections have been made, press the OK button to return to the Printers group. Press Close to return to the Control Panel group. Exit the Control Panel and youÕre ready to go to an application program and print. All printer driver options you selected will stay the same until you change them.
