PLACING A DOCUMENT ON THE GLASS (FLATBED)

1.Open the document cover to reveal the glass.

2.Place your document with the text FACE DOWN on the glass and align the top of the document in the upper-left corner (1) of the glass.

3.Close the document cover.

WHEN USING THE OPTIONAL ADF

Before using the ADF, please make sure that your paper meets the following specifications:

lDocuments can range in size from 114 x 139 mm

(4.5 by 5.5 inches) to 297 x 420 mm (11.69 by 16.54 inches).

lDocuments can range in weight from 60 to 105 g/m² (16 to 28 lbs).

lDocuments should be square or rectangular and in good condition (not fragile or worn).

lDocuments should be free of curl, wrinkles, tears, wet ink, punch holes or ragged edges.

lDocuments should be free of staples, paper clips, adhesive notes.
