MAINTENANCE

The GXT5000R-208 UPS requires very little maintenance. The batteries are valve-regulated, nonspillable, lead acid and should be kept charged to obtain their design life. The UPS contin- uously charges the batteries when connected to the utility supply.

When storing the UPS for an extended period, connect it to utility power for at least 24 hours every six months to keep the batteries fully charged.

!CAUTION

Only qualified service personnel may replace internal batteries in the battery cabinets.
