16.From the VCR Setup menu, select RECORD SETUP, then SELECT VCR. Scroll through the different selections listed with the TYPE parameter until you find your VCR model.

17. After you select a VCR model, use the SELECT key

to move to the TIMELAPSE Mode menu.

NOTE: When you specify the VCR model, the multiplexer will present the time-lapse settings in the same format as the VCR. Ensure the same setting is entered in the VCR timelapse menu.

NOTE: If the type of VCR that is being used is not listed in the SELECT VCR menu, choose the CUSTOM VCR option. Up to six custom setups can be stored in the VCR list. The field rate must be determined for each of the VCR timelapse modes. This figure may be available in the VCR's instruction manual or by contacting the VCR manufacturer's technical support. Enter this information in the timelapse menu.

18.Optional Programming: Playback Format

To playback a tape recorded on another multiplexer manufacturer, set the Playback Format option accordingly. From the VCR Setup menu, select the PLAYBACK FORMAT option, and then select the appropriate tape format. (The factory-set default for this option is LTC 2600 format.)

PLAYBACK FORMAT options are:

-LTC 2600 (Same as TC82XXC,TC 825X-X Series)

-TC8298B Series (Same as TC82XXA Series)

-7 Bit (Same as UniplexII, Sprite Series)

-12 Bit (Same as MV90X Series)

19.Optional Programming: Record Lock

When enabled (ON), this feature locks the multiplexer in the record mode; recording cannot be stopped from the front panel or keyboard unless the lock option is turned OFF in the VCR Setup menu.

20.Optional Programming: Record Format

System4 provides the capability of recording in two types of teletext formats. this allows for reverse compatibility to the TC82XX Series multiplexers.The two types are TC8298B and LTC 2600.

TC8298B (Includes TC82XXA,TC82XXB Series) LTC 2600 (Includes TC82XXC Series)
