How SmartManage works
SmartManage uses a new, bidirectional communication protocol, the Display Data Communica- tions Command Interface (DDC/CI) standard, to allow Philips LCD monitors to communicate with the Altiris agent on the client computer and the asset management system. A typical SmartManage configuration is shown in Figure 8.
