the full Configuration/Setup Utility menu. If a supervisor password is set, the full Configuration/Setup Utility menu is available only if you type the supervisor password at the password prompt. See “Supervisor password” on page 19 for more information.

vAdvanced Setup

Select this choice to change settings for advanced hardware features.

Important: The server might malfunction if these options are incorrectly configured. Follow the instructions on the screen carefully.

This choice is on the full Configuration/Setup Utility menu only.

PCI Configuration

Select this choice to view the system resources that are used by the installed PCI or PCI-X devices.

Advanced Chipset Feature

Select this choice to modify settings that control features of the core chip set on the system board.

Attention: Do not make changes in the Advanced Chipset Feature option unless directed to do so by an IBM authorized service representative.

Advanced Processor Options

Select this choice to enable or disable the microprocessor cache and Hyper-Threading Technology. The default status for Hyper-Threading Technology is Enabled.

ASF Configuration

Select this choice to enable or disable the Alert Standard Format (ASF) feature on your server.

Remote Console Redirection

Select this choice to enable and configure serial remote video and keyboard redirection.

vPower Management

Select this choice to enable or disable system power settings. This includes automatic power-on settings such as the Wake on LAN feature.

vError Log

Select this choice to view or clear error logs.

POST Error Log

Select this choice to view the three most recent error codes and messages that the system generated during POST. Select Clear all DMI event logs to clear the POST error log.

vSave Settings

Select this choice to save the changes you have made in the settings.

vRestore Settings

Select this choice to cancel the changes you have made in the settings and restore the previous settings.

vLoad Default Settings

Select this choice to cancel the changes you have made in the settings and restore the factory settings.
