Running the installation in GUI mode

To install Netcool/Precision TN on your system:

1.From a command prompt, change to the directory where you extracted the contents of the Netcool/Precision TN tar file.

2.Run the installation by entering:

./INSTALL

Running this command with no arguments sets the installation log file level to a default of warning messages only. If you want to set the level of detail in the installation log file for information or troubleshooting purposes, enter the following command instead:

./INSTALL -errorlevel ERRORLEVEL

Where ERRORLEVEL takes one of three values:

debug - Detailed logging for debug purposes

info - Warning and information notices

warning - Warning messages only

You will be presented with the Welcome window (Figure 4.) Click Next to proceed.
