Saving the Configuration
An important feature of SS7Cfg is that you can remotely edit and maintain regedit files (*.reg) that can then be imported to and exported from the NT Registry with the Windows regedit utility, without involving the ICM gateway site.
Note Do not use files exported from Regedt32 because they use a different format for exported Registry files that is incompatible with the format for regedit files.
Upon opening or saving an SS7 configuration Registry file, any configuration problems are flagged by displaying a dialog box indicating what the problem is, asking if you want to continue loading/saving the new configuration file. In this way, SS7Cfg attempts to enforce the use of consistent configuration information.
Step 1 To save the configuration, select File > Save As from the menu bar as shown below.
