Chapter 3: Accessing Local Management

•MIB Navigator – The MIB Navigator is a Local Management utility which allows the user to access, monitor, and set speciﬁc Management Information Base (MIB) items within the ESXMIM.

3.4THE SETUP MENU SCREEN

The Setup Menu provides access to Local Management screens that are used to conﬁgure or alter the conﬁguration of the ESXMIM. Examples of functions accessible through the Setup Menu include conﬁguring the host IP address and subnet mask, assigning SNMP community names, and conﬁguring SNMP trap notiﬁcation. Figure 3-4 shows the Setup Menu.
