Setup and Installation Checklist

Get Ready

cFamiliarize yourself with the matrix switcher.

cObtain IP setting information for the matrix switcher from the local network administrator. Read “Ethernet Connection”.

Perform Physical Installation

cIf desired, install the switcher in a rack (page 126).

cCable input and output (I/O) devices to the I/O ports (page 7).

cAs desired, connect computers, control systems, or both to the rear panel Remote ports (page 11), LAN port (page 12), and front panel Configuration port (page 14).

cConnect power (page 13).

cTest the switcher by creating a tie (page 25).

Install Software

cInstall the Matrix Switchers Control Program (page 74).
