OVERCOMING PAPER JAMS

2CLEARING A PAPER JAM FROM THE INK CASSETTE AREA

1Press POWER button to turn off the printer.

2Press OPEN button to open the top cover.

3Remove the ink cassette.

Push the ink cassette to the left and lift up to remove.

4Pull out the jammed paper.

CAUTION
Do not touch the thermal head right after printing as it is hot. Touching it may
cause a burn or injury.	Thermal head
NOTE

The thermal head may be damaged if you touch it while static electricity builds up on your body.

5Install the ink cassette.

NOTE

Do not put partially-fed paper back into the paper tray. Discard any partially-fed paper

from the paper tray.

2CLEARING A PAPER JAM FROM THE FRONT AREA

1Press POWER button to turn off the printer.

2 Remove the paper tray.

3Pull out the jammed paper.

4Install the paper tray.

When installing the paper tray, make sure to pull down the plate lever of the paper tray until you hear a click.

NOTE

Do not put partially-fed paper back into the paper tray. Discard any partially-fed paper from the paper tray.
