Click Save As to save scan settings for future use.
7.On the left side of the Visioneer Scan Manager, select a profile from the Scan Setup panel. For example, select Color Configurations and then select Custom to scan with the preset Custom scan settings.
The configuration settings appear as a list. Click the + (plus) sign to see the full list. Click the - (minus) sign to collapse the list.
The three configuration options for scanning are:
Color Configurations—Use this setting to scan magazine articles, photographs, and other color images in full color.
Gray Scale Configurations—Use this setting to scan high quality black and white images using up to 256 true shades of gray. You can also scan a color document to turn its colors into gray shades. The file size is about one third that of a color scan.
Black & White Configurations—This setting scans in black and white. The scanning pixels are all the same size and are either black or white. Use this setting for letters, memos, and other black and white material. The image files produced are the smallest file size for scanned items.
